Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service set forth the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between AURORA (hereinafter "the Company") and its users regarding the use of the AURORA AI Music Player application (hereinafter "the Service").
Article 2 (Service Description)
AURORA is a premium music player application for playing local music files on Android devices, offering the following key features:
- Music Playback: Playback of various audio formats including MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, OGG, ALAC, and WMA
- AI Personalized Recommendations: On-device TensorFlow Lite-based listening pattern analysis and personalized music recommendations
- Pro Audio Engine: Multi-band equalizer, Bass Boost, Reverb, Surround, and other audio effects
- Immersive Visualizer: Real-time music visualization based on OpenGL ES 3.0
- AI Music Generation: AI music generation based on text prompts or reference audio
- Other: Smart playlists, sleep timer, crossfade, home widget, backup/restore, and more
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Modification of Terms)
- These Terms become effective upon notification within the Service or direct notice to users.
- The Company may modify these Terms within the scope not violating applicable laws when reasonable grounds arise, and shall announce modified Terms within the Service at least 7 days prior to their effective date.
- For modifications unfavorable to users, notice shall be given at least 30 days in advance. Users who do not agree to the modified Terms may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw.
- Continued use of the Service after the effective date of modified Terms shall be deemed as consent to the modifications.
Article 4 (Terms of Use)
- A device running Android 12 (API 31) or higher is required to use the Service.
- Some features of the Service (AI recommendations, visualizer) may be limited depending on device performance.
- The following permissions may be required to use the Service:
- Storage access: Reading local music files
- Notifications: Displaying playback control notifications
- Network: Cloud AI recommendations, AI music generation, ad display (free version)
- Audio recording: Visualizer FFT analysis (optional)
- Users must be at least 14 years of age. Users under 14 require parental or legal guardian consent.
Article 5 (Accounts and Authentication)
- Basic features of the Service can be used without creating a separate account.
- When using cloud-linked features such as AI music generation and cloud AI recommendations, anonymous authentication via Firebase Anonymous Authentication is automatically performed.
- The unique identifier (UID) generated through anonymous authentication is used for credit management and generation history management.
- If you delete the app or reset its data, anonymous authentication information may be lost, and recovery of credits and generation history may not be possible.
Article 6 (Subscriptions and Payments)
6.1 Subscription Plans

6.2 Free Trial
- The annual premium plan includes a 3-day free trial upon first subscription.
- No charges will be incurred if the subscription is canceled before the end of the free trial period.
- The free trial is available only once per Google account.
6.3 Payment and Renewal
- All payments are processed through Google Play Billing.
- Monthly/annual subscriptions are automatically renewed according to the billing cycle unless manually canceled by the user.
- Subscription cancellation is available through the subscription management menu in the Google Play Store.
- Upon cancellation, premium features remain accessible for the remainder of the paid period.
- Bonus Aurora Credits already granted are not revoked upon cancellation or refund and remain usable until expiration. However, monthly bonus credits are discontinued from the next billing cycle after cancellation.
6.4 Refunds
- Refunds are subject to the Google Play Store refund policy.
- Refund requests can be made through the Google Play Store within 48 hours of purchase.
- The same refund policy applies to the Lifetime Premium plan.
6.5 Google Account Sign-In Requirement
- Premium subscription purchases and AI music generation using Aurora Credits require Google account sign-in.
- Anonymous accounts may access free features and accumulate ad rewards, but payment processing and credit consumption require Google account sign-in.
- Signed-in Google account information is used solely for payment verification, credit synchronization, and refund policy enforcement, and is not used for marketing or other purposes.
6.6 Bonus Aurora Credits Grant Policy
Premium subscriptions and purchases include additional bonus Aurora Credits as follows. This policy remains valid until amendment, with prior notice given pursuant to §3.2.

No bonus Aurora Credits are granted during the 3-day free trial period; the sign-up bonus is granted upon initial billing.
The monthly bonus is automatically granted each month while the subscription is active and is not duplicated within the same billing month (deduplicated by `lastBonusMonth` identifier).
Article 7 (AI Music Generation Service and Credits)
7.1 Aurora Credits System
- The AI music generation feature operates through the Aurora Credits (hereinafter "Credits") system.
- Credit structure:
- Free Trial Credits: 3 AC (Aurora Credits) provided free for the first time
- Premium Monthly Bonus: Additional sign-up and monthly bonus provided to premium subscribers (see §6.6 for details)
- Additional Purchase: Credit pack purchase through Google Play in-app payment
- Credits are consumable and are not restored after use.
7.2 Credit Usage and Refunds
- 1 AC is deducted for each AI music generation.
- If music generation fails due to server errors or other issues after a generation request, the deducted credits are automatically refunded.
- Credits cannot be refunded after generation is completed.
- Cash refunds for unused credits are not supported.
7.3 Generated Content
- AI-generated music is downloaded and stored locally on the user's device.
- Usage rights for generated music are subject to the terms of service of the AI music generation provider.
- The Company does not guarantee the quality, originality, or copyright compliance of AI-generated music.
- If users wish to use generated music commercially, they are responsible for verifying compliance with applicable laws and third-party licenses.
Article 8 (Content and Intellectual Property Rights)
- All intellectual property of the Service, including software, design, logos, visualizer themes, and AI models, belongs to the Company.
- Copyrights of music files stored on the user's device belong to their respective rights holders, and the Service only provides local playback functionality.
- The Service does not verify the legality of music files, and users are responsible for using only legally obtained music.
- Users shall not attempt to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or extract source code from the Service.
Article 9 (Prohibited Activities)
Users shall not engage in any of the following activities:
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
- Distributing or sharing illegally copied music through the Service
- Intentionally creating content that infringes on others' copyrights by misusing the AI music generation feature
- Fraudulently manipulating or circumventing the credit system
- Accessing the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.)
- Unauthorized collection or use of other users' information
- Fraudulent use of the Service by entering false information
- Creating socially inappropriate content such as obscene, violent, or hateful material through the Service
- Any other activities that violate applicable laws
Article 10 (Service Modification and Suspension)
- The Company may improve, modify, add, or reduce the features of the Service.
- Significant changes to the Service shall be announced within the Service at least 30 days in advance.
- The Service may be temporarily suspended for the following reasons:
- Server maintenance and upkeep
- Network failures or system errors
- Force majeure events such as natural disasters
- Requests from applicable laws or government authorities
- If the Company permanently terminates the Service, notice shall be given at least 90 days in advance, and refunds for the remaining period shall be provided to users with active paid subscriptions.
Article 11 (Disclaimer)
- Service Provision: The Service is provided "AS-IS," and the Company makes no express or implied warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of the Service.
- AI Recommendations: AI-based recommendations are for reference purposes only, and the accuracy or suitability of recommendation results is not guaranteed.
- AI-Generated Content: No guarantees are made regarding the copyright compliance, quality, or commercial usability of AI-generated music.
- Data Loss: The Company is not responsible for data loss (playlists, EQ settings, credit balance, etc.) caused by device malfunction, app deletion, or system reset. Users are encouraged to regularly back up their data using the backup feature.
- Device Compatibility: Perfect operation on all Android devices is not guaranteed, and some features may be limited on specific devices or manufacturer custom OS.
- Third-Party Services: The Company is not responsible for service limitations caused by failures of third-party services such as Google Play Billing, Firebase, or AdMob.
Article 12 (Damages)
- If damage occurs to a user due to the Company's intentional acts or gross negligence, the Company shall compensate for damages in accordance with applicable laws.
- The Company's liability for damages is limited to the amount paid by the user to the Company (excluding free users).
- The Company is not responsible for damages caused by the user's own fault.
Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)
- Disputes related to these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of a dispute between the Company and a user regarding the use of the Service, both parties shall negotiate in good faith for amicable resolution.
- If no agreement is reached, the competent court shall be the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's headquarters.
- Users may apply for dispute mediation through the Korea Consumer Agency or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Resolution Committee in accordance with applicable laws such as the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
